A Lifelong Connection to Sports

Whether indoors, outdoors, or behind a screen, sports have always been a constant in my life. I grew up playing baseball into my teenage years, while also competing in football, basketball, and shot put, always looking for a way to stay involved.

Rediscovering the Game Through Media

That connection faded somewhat during high school, but in 2024 it was reignited through Brent Barber and Chris Gloff’s radio program. Joining the conversation around basketball on Beyond the Baseline, along with contributing to sports articles online, renewed both my passion for sports and my interest in covering them from a media and creative perspective.

Academic Path and Future Aspirations

Approaching graduation from Crown Point High School with an Academic Honors Diploma, I am preparing for the transition into college. I am currently deciding between Indiana University, Indiana State University, the University of Missouri, and Valparaiso University, where I have applied to study biochemistry, with the long-term goal of pursuing dental school at Indiana University or a comparable institution.
